Le café du coin d'en bas de la rue du bout de la ville d'en face du port… La Java is possibly the most photogenic, and craziest, place in St Malo. The café/bar, run and designed by an idiosyncratic Frenchman wearing a beret, is fantastically decorated with hundreds of dolls. Sausages hang off the ceiling along with accordions, chandeliers and a stuffed eagle with a taxi sign mounted on it. The toilet can be entered through a confession-box-sized antique elevator.
